Workshop: The Resilient Teacher:  Surviving to Thriving

Loading Events

API Care and Counselling is happy to organise this workshop for educators to discover the key elements of a resilient teacher, become more self-aware, and recognise their developmental stage as a teacher and the support they need

The work of an educator is meaningful and rewarding, as teachers find satisfaction in witnessing the growth and development of the students under their care while also experiencing personal and professional growth. Nevertheless, teaching as a career can be stressful and often physically and mentally depleting, as teachers juggle various roles, teaching workloads, and duties while trying to meet the expectations of both themselves and stakeholders.

This workshop aims to provide an opportunity for educators to discover the key elements of a resilient teacher, become more aware of their sense of self and the inner compass that guides them in their work, and recognise their developmental stage as a teacher and the corresponding support needed. It also explores the value of self-care, peer support, and reflective practice—key elements in sustaining teachers in their day-to-day work.

  • Revisit their inner compass for teaching
