WORKSHOP: HAPPILY EVER AFTER: CULTIVATING MARRIAGE RESILIENCY

Loading Events

API Care and Counselling, the community outreach arm of the Asian Pastoral Institute (API), is proud to organise this workshop on helping couples assess and strengthen their marriages.

BACKGROUND

In 2017, the Singapore Department of Statistics recorded that on average the duration of marriages for divorces was about 10.3 years. They also found that 1 in 3 of these divorces occurred between the 5th and 9th year mark. The marital journey to living happily ever after is constantly beset with challenges, especially during the initial years of the marriage. This workshop encompasses a marital health check-up and offers seven evidence-based principles in achieving a successful marriage.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT TO LEARN?

  • Debunking myths about the marital relationship
  • Knowing the predictors of failed marriages
  • Understanding and practising the principles that make marriages work
  • A marital satisfaction assessment identifying areas of strength and improvement

WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR?

  • Married couples (both husband and wife must attend)
