Walk-for-Rice is an initiative by South-East Community Development Council (SECDC) and NTUC FairPrice to invite the community to raise white rice, brown rice, and oats for vulnerable families in South-east district. As part of the community within South-east district, API Care and Counselling has contributed to this initiative since 2018 (with the exception of 2021 and 2022 due to Covid-19) by mobilizing our families, friends, and associates to walk or run to raise rice and oats. For every 300 metres of walking or running recorded, FairPrice Foundation has committed to donate 1 bowl of white rice, 1 bowl of brown rice and 1 bowl of oatmeal to a vulnerable family residing in South East District. This year’s target is to raise and distribute rice and oats to 7,000 vulnerable families in the South East District where API Care and Counselling Centre is situated
