Workshop: Long-Term Effects of Trauma: From Childhood to Adulthood (Re-run) 2025

Loading Events

API Care and Counselling is happy to organise this workshop to help participants learn about long-term effects of trauma and how to create a supportive environment for individuals with such experiences

We invite you to an exploration of the intricate interplay between early life experiences and adult mental wellness. Through this workshop, we will unravel the profound impact of childhood family dysfunction and traumatic events such as abuse and neglect, shedding light on their enduring effects well into adulthood. Drawing upon robust research findings and compelling case studies, attendees will embark on a journey of understanding, gaining insights into the underlying mechanisms that link childhood trauma to heightened susceptibility to emotional, behavioural, and social challenges in later life.

By the workshop’s conclusion, attendees will emerge equipped with a foundational understanding of the links between childhood adversity and adult well-being. With this knowledge, attendees will be better able to foster genuine empathy and support for individuals who have faced such adversities. Join us as we cultivate resilience and compassion together.
