Workshop: Happier Relationship, Lasting Marriage

API Care and Counselling, the community outreach arm of the Asian Pastoral Institute (API), is proud to organise this workshop to introduce ways for couples to work towards a more intimate and happier relationship regardless of the current level of satisfaction in their marriage.

Wishing for a happy and lasting marriage need not be a thing of the past. Finding love and meaning in a relationship is possible and it is never too late to work at it. This workshop will introduce ways for couples to work towards a more intimate and happier relationship regardless of the current level of satisfaction in their marriage. Couples will understand the biological differences between genders and learn to communicate effectively with each other.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS SHOULD EXPECT TO LEARN

• Realise the possibility of enriching your marital relationship
• Understand your spouse better
• Gain insights on ways to improve intimacy with your spouse
• Practice communication skills to improve your relationship
• Make specific plans for a happier relationship

• Married couples (both husband and wife must attend)

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

STEVEN THAM, PhD (Candidate), MSocSc (Counselling), MDiv, MA (Biblical Studies), BEng

Steven holds an MSocSci (Counselling) and Master of Divinity and is currently pursuing a PhD in Social Psychology. He has over 20 years of counselling experience, specialising in addiction and family counselling. He is trained in Emotional Focused Therapy and Addiction Counselling. He is also a Registered Counsellor and clinical supervisor with Singapore Association for Counselling.
