SUMMARY:Workshop: Long-Term Effects of Trauma: From Childhood to Adulthood 2026
DESCRIPTION:API Care and Counselling is happy to organise this workshop to help participants learn about long-term effects of trauma and how to create a supportive environment for individuals with such experiences \n \nWe invite you to an exploration of the intricate interplay between early life experiences and adult mental wellness. Through this workshop\, we will unravel the profound impact of childhood family dysfunction and traumatic events such as abuse and neglect\, shedding light on their enduring effects well into adulthood. Drawing upon robust research findings and compelling case studies\, attendees will gain insights into the underlying mechanisms that link childhood trauma to heightened susceptibility to emotional\, behavioural\, and social challenges in later life. \nBy the workshop’s conclusion\, participants will be better equipped with a foundational understanding of the links between childhood adversity and adult well-being.
