SUMMARY:Workshop: A Good Night’s Sleep: Behavioural and Cognitive Strategies to Help Others Get Quality Sleep
DESCRIPTION:API Care and Counselling\, the community outreach arm of the Asian Pastoral Institute (API)\, is happy to organise this workshop on developing tools and strategies to support someone with sleep issues and to get a good night’s sleep.\nAccording to a mental health study conducted by IMH in 2021\, 7.6% of over 1000 participants reported symptoms of insomnia amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Insomnia is a common sleep disorder in Singapore. Sleep plays an important part in a person’s sense of wellbeing. Having poor quality sleep or insufficient sleep can lead to increased risk of developing physical health conditions such as high blood pressure and heart disease\, as well as mental health issues like depression and anxiety.
