SUMMARY:Course: Pre-Marital Counselling 2022
DESCRIPTION:API Care and Counselling\, the community outreach arm of the Asian Pastoral Institute (API)\, is happy to organise this course to help couples who are contemplating or preparing to get married.\nUNIQUENESS OF THE COURSE\nWorkshops will be taught by a  multidisciplinary team of professionals from the fields of counselling\, psychology and social work who are qualified in their respective fields of study. \nAll senior instructors of the course have at least 15 years of experience in helping couples prepare for marriage. \nTo increase the realism and practical usefulness of the course\, most seminars are facilitated by trainers and their spouses. This allows for both the husband’s and wife’s perspectives to be brought to the discussion. \n  \nCURRICULUM\nThis course covers the following topics: \n\nStarting on the right footing\nThe genesis of marriage & roles of husband and wife\nBuilding intimacy & strengthening communication\nResolving conflict\nFactors that make or break a marriage\n\n  \nDELIVERY MODE\n\nClassroom Teaching\nInteraction and Discussion\nGroup Activities\nQuestion and Answer\n\n  \nPERSONALITY PROFILING SERVICE\nCouples undergo a Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis (T-JTA) Profile followed by a 1-hour counselling feedback session for this assessment.
